Notes & Queries
This is the same day that Martin Salter claimed that he had made an official complaint to the Information Commissioner. In fact all he had done was to tell the Information Commissioner that he was going to complain to the council. As of now, he still hasn't made an official complaint to the ICO despite telling the Reading Evening Post that he had.
Freedom of Information Request No. 1
Timeline
Request for Clarification from the Council
30 May 2007
Thank you for your e-mail of 25 May 2007 the contents of which are noted, requesting the following:
'I would like copies of emails sent by Martin Salter or sent on his behalf by Ann Morgan to senior Council Officers (e.g. the Chief Executive, Head of Arts and Leisure etc.)'.
In order to deal with your request I should be obliged if you would please clarify the years for which you require the information?
Please also clarify which Senior Officers you wish your request to relate too?
If you are unable or do not wish to clarify the above it could take the Council significantly more than 18 hours of research to provide all of the information requested, and this will therefore take the cost of responding to your request above the appropriate limit for responding to the request which, under and above regulations, is £450 for local authorities (and where labour costs are calculated at £25 per person per hour). The Council would therefore not be obliged to provide the information you have requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
Yours sincerely
Mr C J Brooks
